FINAL OF THE OFFICE CHOIR OF THE YEAR COMPETITION 

Classic FM has teamed up with Music in Offices for the Office Choir of the Year competition. The competition launched in June 2009 and has attracted entrants from companies including Deloitte, John Lewis, The Guardian and Debenhams. The final takes place on 16th March 2010 at King's Place in London and the competition will raise money for the London Youth Charity, New Horizon and The Voices Foundation.

Music in Offices was established in 2007 to bring music to firms by running staff workshops, choirs and individual tuition programmes. Jessie Maryon Davies, Office Choir of the Year competition producer, says "singing in a choir boosts team spirit in a really powerful way. Most offices now have a gym - there's no reason why they shouldn't all have choirs!" The Music in Offices team hope the competition will encourage office staff across London to make music an integral part of their working lives and they're also running the Office Musician of the Year competition for talented amateur instrumentalists.
